With three stages, live music, and two dozen performers roaming through the dining area guests become part of the show. A breathtaking view of the massive holiday light displays across the river in downtown St. Paul skyline is an added bonus.

4. ‘Jacob Marley’s
Christmas Carol’
This is not the same old Christmas Carol. Move over Scrooge, it’s time for Jacob Marley to tell his story. Our tour begins in Hell, with Jacob Marley applying for a “transfer.” Little does he understand that even in the afterlife, Scrooge will once again determine his future. The amazing Jim Lichtscheidl brings to life Jacob Marley, a little ear sprite, a compulsive record keeper, and a host of celestial and earthly beings, all with wise-cracking humor. If you celebrate Christmas, or just love a great ghost story with all the trimmings, you will enjoy the spirit in this very modern presentation. An invitation to the imagination, this show will delight the whole family.
Time: Evening and matinee showtimes through Dec. 21
Cost: $18-$39
Location: Park Square Theater, Historic Hamm Building, 20 W. 7th Place, St. Paul

5. ‘A Don’t Hug Me
Christmas Carol’
It’s Christmas Eve in Bunyan Bay, Minnesota and bar owner Gunner Johnson gets in an argument with his wife, Clara, and tells her he’s skipping Christmas. He storms out of the bar, goes snowmobiling across the lake, falls through the ice, and goes into a coma. He comes back in his dream where he’s visited by folk legend, Sven Yorgensen, who plays the ghost of Christmas past, present, and future. The ghosts take Gunner on a journey similar to that in Charles Dickens’ “A Christmas Carol.”
