The flu or some disgusting cousin of it, knocked me out and left me lying in bed listening to traffic, blinds being blown against the window and incessant cooing from a pair of doves. Even when I heard the pitter patter of raindrops I didn't have enough energy to go outside and roll up my car windows. I'm on the Sprite and Saltines diet and looking for a magic cure.
