Not from me! </p> <p>I know nothing about horses, although a girlfriend of mine who DOES know all the nuances about horses once told me things she looked for -- how they breathe, if they are perspiring that day, how their mouths look, if they run well on a dry track or muddy track, and on and on.</p> <p>She's a pro horse-picker. Not me. It's choose a horse by cute name or whatever and place a $2 bet (sometimes I'll go all out and bet $3!). Then we sit back and yell and scream our horse over the finish line -- hopefully near the front.</p> <p>Sometimes we win; sometimes not.
