It's too cold to take in the spectacular view from the rooftop deck of Stella's Fish Cafe & Prestige Oyster Bar in Uptown but dining indoors has its own pleasures. This casual seafood restaurant features a mix of downhome foods like Delta Dog Tater Tots ($6.95) with a sweet jalapeno marmalade and upscale drinks like the $9 CoCo JoJo (Godiva, Bailey's, Absolut Vanilla and Malibu). Order up the Sushi Grade Tuna Dip ($12.95) with pico, avocado, tomato and chopped Ahi tuna, served with tortilla chips. If you're feeling up to it (and have a fat wallet and a designated sober driver) order the Cosmo Blanco, which is a strong drink mixed with Absolut Vodka and white cranberry juice.

If you're looking for something more substantial to eat grab a whole lobster, which will appear on your table in all its blazing red glory, alongside a plate of grilled asparagus. Finally, if you're celebrating a birthday or just need to satisfy a sweet tooth, choose from nine homemade desserts -- my favorite, due to its color and cream-cheese frosting -- is the Red Velvet Cake.

The decor is a little odd - I sat facing a giant photo of a man's bare chest -- but that made it fun. I had an excellent and friendly waitress and felt comfortable being a suburbanite out on the town -- for lunch. I can't say what the nightlife is like but I gather it gets quite a bit hipper and younger.
